Looking Back on Crisis

I do not believe there is religion in the after life, but I do believe God is sovereign over all the faiths and aspirations of man.
I behold God as an independent agent free to deal with every heart regardless of whatever religion we may try to hide ourselves in.
The good heart seeks out the face of the Creator, and The Most High, seeks out the hearts of men, without regard to heritage or faith.

I like this Christian, I have a good idea how his mind works, he is a military man like I once was, and because my uncle was a navy pilot, who thanks to the grace and hand of God, also survived a few crashes.

Crisis:
A time of danger;
A time of opportunity

Very rarely do we ever go out and try to find a crisis that we can be a part of and experience. For most people, life is often a series of crisis's and we spend our energy running away from them. I have been blessed, in having several crisis's occur early in my adult life and that I had no chance to run from them. I was forced to try to survive them. I had to face them. I learned some things after about a half dozen of these not-so-wonderful events. Some are these are described here on the website.

One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

I liked the Churchill quote on that website. May we ALL look at difficulties as opportunities! Amen.

Yes Suzen, if we are to grow spiritually. we must have a few difficulties in life. God doesn't always give us what we want, but he will give us all that we need. Indeed, hard times can be good times, if you are willing to learn from them. I am not the same man I once was, and I am glad of it.
